One more shot from low angle
Now and then we had a hope that if we lived and were good, God would permit us to be pirates. – Mark Twain, Life on the Mississippi

The Island carpenter's work, is temporary. When a ship sails to the port, he is hired for repairing it. But how often a ship arrives to this small island? So, he makes pieces of furniture... But the population is so small that he stays jobless most of the time...

...that was the last spark that lit the fuse. His wife exiled him from his workshop room, claiming it for laundry and ironing. So, the poor man had to construct a small improvised outhouse to continue enjoying his hobby.

Town gossip says that he often sleeps in there. The worst of the worst is that his wife is asking him every day to clean the front yard "from all this junk" and repeating the motto "I'm tired to sweep away splinters and shavings"! All these things might have happened only in a fantastic island, of course! (This is a motivation to embark to the next pirate ship - many pirate careers started in a similar way  lol )

In many buildings I leave the fourth side without many features, with the intention to put two of them stand back-to-back.

Indeed. The carpenter's workshop has a bit of 'haunted' feel to it. But then again .... i like that. ;-)

Yes... haunted... And the carpenter is hunted from room to room...

On the other hand, this island's women have a proverb:
-Don't judge a cat by its moustache
but by the mice it catches!

And I suspect that it was first said by the carpenter's wife  :)

These situations may push you to become:
-A drunkard
-A pirate
-A philosopher

(not exactly in that order)

In most cases you end with two of these attributes and you hallucinate you've got the third as well  lol

Shop and Tavern

Here is the place the island's smugglers meet the pirates to exchange booty with drink, food and supplies

When making a pirate tavern, it is strongly suggested to listen to some kind of music like this:
