Ten minutes ago, the pirates quarreled with the smugglers because the latter did not want to reveal their secret stash with the good booze and they left to different directions. (Casualties or any damage not reported).

There is one last gulp of cheap grog left in the mug, I can smell it  :)

Spanish style Colonial Church

After having studied a number of old colonial churches in Latin America and the Caribbean, I came to this Spanish style church for my Pirate Island:

For the friends probably amazed by my window-making technique, I'll say it's paper. Photoshopped paper.

The well shaft was made from rings of cork. The bucket is from ship model accessories.

Stucco used for wooden furniture mending, adapted very well to the cork walls. It comes in many colors, so I chose one typical for a humble old village church.

you did it again Dinos! This is superb. You gave it the "Spanish" touch and the old but not "ruined". I really love the comnbination of colours . We have to put some action on it soon. My pirates are ready for looting!

Thank you! I think that we owe to ourselves and to all the friends we are sharing this post, to put everything together and take some nice overall shots!

So, the color of the walls is mainly the natural color of the wood stucco.
For weathering I made some nicks and cracks and I used some pigments and paint here and there.
I some places where the "bruise" was deeper, the cork is exposed and it looks very natural.
For the roof tiles I used my patent, as per all the houses of the island.

The front door. I hope I managed to give the old and worn look.
The cross was bought from a religious souvenir shop.
