Sounds interesting. Can you tell us more about the mechanics?

BaC uses the same mechanics as Fistful of Lead:Horse & Musket. I added some period specific rules an traits, along with a simple unit builder mechanic. So if you are familiar with Fistful of Lead at all, and hopefully you are, you can skip the rest.

You control a troop of 4-6 miniatures, one of which is a Captain (or whatever you you want to call them). Each round a player is dealt a playing card for each mini they control. These are ordinary playing cards, but of course, my custom cards are waaaaay cooler.
Play proceeds from highest (King) to lowest (2). Aces are wild and certain cards have specific special powers, such as the Queen of Hearts healing a wound. Ties are broken suit.
When your card is called, hopefully by the player with the fanciest hat, you activate a miniature and complete it's actions. Then the next highest, and so on until everyone has gone. Play can jump around from player to player, making for an engaging game.
Simple to learn but has a lot of tactical decisions based on you hand. Do I use this Ace to be a Queen of Hearts and heal Pierre's wound? Or do I use it as a "7" card to get a preroll for an important attack?
That help?
-J

Interesting mechanics, very nice table and figs! Eager to learn more about it!

There's lots of reviews online for the original Fistful of lead Western rules. A quick Google or look on this forum will give more about.
Here's a link to the previous playlets:

I have to get Fistful of Lead: Galactic Heroes out next month. Then, the plan is to release a core book for FfoL that encompasses everything we've done over the years. This will be followed by supplements like Buccaneers and Musketeers every month. We'll have a whole bunch. Each with it's own custom card deck.
I'll probably be asking the community for which genre/period to put out first. I'll take this as one vote for B&M. Stay tuned!

Cheers for the replies guys!

Baron: I am interested in the Dregs rule that you have mentioned in your play testing. The Buccaneer period is not high on my list - sorry.

Replying to an old topic:
Any further info on buccaneers for the Horse and Musket series?  Card decks to go with each supplement sounds good to me.
