I am building lots of scenery for a show this weekend. Let me know what you think so far.

The trees are from Grimm to me and they are for my collection. everything else is for sale.

I still have to finish painting the mesas and I think the jungle stuff needs more undergrowth, like vines and stuff, but I don't want to spend too much time as I'm not keeping them.

Lots of missing links, but I think the stuff you have up so far is fine. It leaves room for the buyer to add more undergrowth if they want or leave it open to make movement easier.

Links are fixed now.

They usually sell good and I rarely come home with leftovers. I spend about 5 solid days on them and they net around $600-700 for about a $500 profit.

If I do end up with leftovers, I use them for our games. When the next local show comes around I put them for sale again and usually they find a home.

beautiful stuff, Eric, are these mass production or just one-time ones?

They are all hand made and no two are alike.

I just get in work mode and ruin alot of clothes. It's relatively quick overall, but time consuming at the same time, if that makes sense.

I'm able to make alot in a week, but that week just passes me by.

Oops, sorry. They are all hand made except for the obvious store bought items like the Olmec heads and Angkhor prok Ruins. I just base them and put plants everywhere. I also repaint them to match everything else.

All the other stuff is hand made with love and tears

Good stuff there!

I know what you mean about making a lot of scenery - I get that way before the big conventions, when i spend a couple of weeks covered in paint and plaster, and my days go by in a blur of "plaster the hills/cut out the bases for the trees/ make the thatched roofs for the houses/come back and see if the hills are dry yet--"

The plus is that a car full of scenery translates into between a thousand and two thousand dollars on the way home  --- H

Hi Grimm,

I get them from Petco pet stores. Thier address is www.petco.com

However, I just did a search for thei olmec heads and they don't show up. I don't know if this means they stop carryng them or just don't sell them online. I buy them from the actual stores, which are everywhere here.

Below is a direct link to the Angkhor and Buddha statues.

http://www.petco.com/Shop/Product.aspx?R=5036&Nav=1&N=0&Ntt=buddha&sku=892785&familyID=12887&

I forgot that the cave is store bought as well. You can see that one in the photos with two of my cavemen in there.

www.petsmart also has some great stuff.

Thats sensational stuff!  Are those the aquarium things I keep hearing people talk about?  The aquarium shops here are boring....

Wish I could churn terrain out like that!

Those mesas are great - both as red 'martian' (Warzone, anyone?) ones, and in the finished state.... some of them, though, might be considered stuff to giggle about by a female audience...

What is that item number 6507 on you terrain page about (under the platfomer sets)?

Edit: Just kiddin', but I'm curious, if you plan to fill out all those emty cells with something interesting?  :)
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

Those empty boxes are now pre-piainted items added to the store. I was working on it and I save it often as I have the habit of deleting whole works after awhile.

I agree that some of the mesas look a little ah, iffy. One in particular looks bad all by itself. It was a complete accident.
