Lt as a scene this is so well set up.  The models look like they were sculpted to fit and have a very natural feel about them

This said these are two really good entries and I'm struggling on who to give the vote to

Absolutely love both these entries. Michi's painting is vibrant as ever, with the usual wonderful choice of - oh so many! - great miniatures.

Jan's storytelling and composition though, as well as the painting itself and scenic setting... Just sublime.

Both are real gems of the LPL art!  8)

Agreed! Jan, the clothes on the unsuspecting family look so realistically sun-faded. Incredible.

Michi, what an eye-popping panorama. I would like to know the story behind this...a German flag, native porters, statuesque Amazons...this cries out for a short story!

It is difficult to cast a vote preference between an amazing and an awesome work!

The miniatures in both scenes are painted to a fantastic standard! Very lovely entries ...

The great Shep Paine teached many years ago: the art of the diorama is not only based on beautifully painted miniatures and great scenery, but the essence should be storytelling. You accomplished this to the best advantage, Jan. Bravo!

Woooh Lt.Hazel ! What a marvelous entry.
My favorite so far in this LPL and considering the level of some of them (including Michi one), it says something.

Wow gentlemen I really appreciate your kind comments!
Michi I am a fan of your paintingstyle, yours is a great picture.
The Perry AWI camp set is lovely, it made the storytelling quite easy.
Cheers
