vehicle wheels
« on: May 30, 2017, 05:37:02 AM »
I have just received a graveyard lot of Models of Yesteryear vehicles and I need to find some wheels. Does anyone make any separate wheels for such vehicles? The lot is mostly roadsters and tourers with a cab, a landaulet and a couple of light trucks. One of the trucks doesn't really need wheels as it is in such a state of decay (looks like it's been stood upon.)

he can be contacted through face book as well https://www.facebook.com/SlugIndustriesWargaming/

It depends on what you actually need,as replacement wheels and tyres are available on eBay. As toy car collectors often replace wheels.

Failing that an email to 1st corps miniatures would source some from the World War, one range at Simon will sell white metal wheels from the range ,but only by request as they're not listed separately.
As mentioned Phil is quite a generous. Chap.So its definitely worth dropping him a PM.

There is a thread on here(somewhere but that requires a grown up to write a link as I've gone blank.) where larger scale wheels were used to rescale vehicles to fit better with 28mm,and quite effectively if memory serves.

Vodkafan and I are doing this. I'm using 16mm Matchbox wheels on Lledo cars and it's perfect. But that doesn't help the OP.
