Viva la Quince Brigada
« on: May 31, 2017, 07:46:41 AM »
Some pics from our latest SCW outing, we used Bolt Action rules with our usual tweaks and random events cards. I also used Deployment Points has I was quite taken with them when we played Sharp Practice 2 last week.

Hard to run a combined arms assault without a combination of arms, eh? Nice AAR and a very nice board.

If you like the deployment points you should try out Chain of Command. They have full armys lists for the Spanish Civil War. I think it's a far better game.

I have CoC and have used it for Great War games, don't have enough figures to make full platoons for CoC Espana at the moment.
Having said that I did not find the C&C in CoC chaotic enough for the Great War, preferring Through The Blood And The Mud, I have the same feeling for the SCW.
It really needs a dedicated set of rules, I have not found any modified WWII set really satisfying if I'm honest.

Thank you chaps, another outing next week.

This time it will be a Rapid Fire game with the Rampan el Fuego mods.
