A small update and maybe not entirely fitting here but good to post either way.

I am still slowly painting miniatures for various projects too, but something that has been bothering me for quite a while now is how I treated my terrain boards when I first wanted to add gras to it. I had never done this properly before and therefor I think I messed them up good. I have managed to always keep this fairly invisible in my pictures but The day would always come that I would have to redo it.

I dreaded doing it for quite some time because it feels like a huge timesink and I frankly don't really have the space to do it in. But today I have begun the venture into new and better terrain nonetheless.

Cleaning the boards as they were was the first big step. I made use of the nice weather to grab some sun while I was at it.

After cleaning them they look somewhat decent again. When they are dry I will move on to the next steps.

Working up the courage to do the exact same thing - scrub off the solid patches of flattened static grass and get some varied flock on there instead.

Looking forward to see how that table of yours shapes up!

Poking my head back in here to say that I bought a pack of the Poor Fellow Soldiers of Christ entirely based on the paint job you bestowed upon them. They really are lovely sculpts. Not sure yet whether to paint them up as their historical namesake, as Hospitaller hearthguard for Saga or for my more fantasy-oriented Black Order.

Very keen to see how your board ends up looking.

Hey everyone,

It has been a while since I have posted something. That has everything to do with a lot of things going on in the non hobby world. And to make matters a little worse I have decided to let things that I was working on lie for a bit and work on this first. This will be a new force that I have carefully planned out and am slowly working towards finishing. I have finished the first few mini's for it and when I can find the motivation I will make some pictures of them in a better set up. To compensate I did make this set up of the new army marching to war. I hope you enjoy.

They look great, another cinematic shot!
I'm intrigued by the out-of-focus terrain in front of them...

The terrain board looks like a real success as well, by the way. Have you considered putting some little rough patches of flock on the area of bare ground, to break it up a bit? Perhaps to make the border of the grass and the bare ground less extreme.
