The Ambassador's residence
« on: June 02, 2017, 02:19:45 AM »
First time caller here. Never posted any pics of games played before. Hopefully this one comes out. Indian mutiny game played a couple of months ago with TMWWBK rules. Mainly Empress figures, and some home made buildings including fort walls from Warbases. Hope it works and hope you enjoy  :o

Great looking table!

Where is the small red shrine building in the lower left from? I'm looking to add more Indian/subcontinential details to my scenery and that looks like a good one.

Gentlemen, your manners, Malamute excepted.

Sir, welcome to LAF, the finest wargaming discussion forum on this planet where you will find some of the finest modeling work there is.

And thus the interest in seeing more of your buildings, sirrah.

Now, formalities dispensed with, let's see more of the those blasted buildings!   Um, please.  lol

Ok chaps, here goes on more info....
The village buildings are made of cork, using Matakishi's TeaHouse designs, and the domes on the top of the tower and on the fort walls come from Ian Weekley models courtesy of Magnetic Displays / Coritani miniatures.
Market stalls were bought ready made and painted.
The fort walls are modular ones from Warbases, just tarted up a bit.
The residence is from my own imagination (steady now) using cork for the main walls and roof. The balcony, some upstairs windows and small outhouse on the back of it comes from Warbases modular range again.
The small red shrine doesn't belong to me, but was made by a friend Hasbeen of this parish. I've asked him to comment on how he made it, so that's more info to come. Knowing how brilliant he is at these things, I would guess he threw it together over a couple of evenings, using items around him from the Pound shop ! (Goodness knows how he does it ?)
Figures are from the Iron Duke range, sold by Empress miniatures.

Enjoy
