Greetings. Those are some very nice buildings indeed. May just splash out on some warbases walls. Been looking at them for a while, seeing them tarted up has sealed the deal. Great looking game as well. Thanks.

Gents,
Thanks for the praise.
The warbase modular walls were great fun, as you could blend them in, and make them your own. Could even buy a couple and cut sections out to make ruined walls after taking damage ?

On the subject of the little red shrine, I have a mail from the maker, Hasbeen - "A foam board 'box' topped with a plastic lid from a sweet jar. Some detail added from textured tape (Pound land) and MDF craft bits (The Works). A thinned down filler was then painted on & 'dabbed' with an old brush to create some texture
When totally dry (2 to 3 days) painted & dry brushed, starting very dark & working up to very light (both in tone AND pressure on the brush). Acrylic gel pens (gold with silver to highlight) provide some fine detail.
I don't know if the freeze inside is visible in the pictures (top does come off), but that came from the 'Mad Karu'  Pulp figures set,"
Hope that helps.

Flatpack,

Beautiful set-up indeed, thanks very much for posting, and additional thanks for taking the time to answer questions and provide more info!

Regarding the hidden frieze inside that awesome "Red Tower" building, as a Mad Guru myself, and with the greatest respect, I believe you refer to the piece included in Pulp Figures', "The Mad Guru" set, pictured here:

Again, great job and hope to see many more of your posts!

I've got a few of Hasbeen's creations... he had a misspent youth watching Blue Peter!

:o :o Wow fantastic looking layout and buildings. It seems you are not untalented yourself in the ways of construction!

Thought I'd drop a photo in of the tower being built.
As you can see the cork floor tiles work well to form walls and the roof.
The dome is bought and can be removed to place figures inside.

Very nice, I guess the detail bits around the doors and on the corners are the MDF craft bits!

I think I need to wander through the scrapbooking/decorating aisles of my local Michael's craft store again soon and see what can be seen...

Thanks for the extra info and the new photos, and (slightly belated) welcome to LAF!
