28mm Post Apoc Vehicles?
« on: June 06, 2017, 02:39:50 PM »
I am getting back into Post Apoc gaming.

I'm thinking of Mad Max style of vehicles.

I am wondering if anyone knows of any companies who make 28mm Post Apoc vehicles?

I am looking for bikes, buggies, cars, big rigs, ect.

Any suggestions on where to look?

Thanks!

Hit your local Dollar Store or equivalent, or disocunt toy store.  Buy cheap cars and trucks and go to town converting them.

My suggestions are mainly vehicles that can be made suitable for the post apocalypse.

Empress do Technicals:

With various weapons (and without).

They also do: the BMD series (ex-HLBS) which would give you a Fury Road vehicle; HMMWVs, MRAPs.

They also do a new "large" scale jeep with various options:

Anvil Industries have two vehicles, the Instigator buggy.

And the Cobra APC

I have one of the latter (when I find it, I will photograph it ^___^).

Rubicon have a Studebaker and a GMC lorry.

The Studebaker above is the same model as the BM-13 below (hot swappable load beds).

My on-going build: http://ultravanillasmurf.blogspot.co.uk/2017/01/rubicon-models-studebaker-u3-katyusha_5.html

They also have M8/M20 armoured cars, motor bikes and jeeps.

Products here:

And here:

They also have two stowage sets.

As mentioned above, there are a number of cheap die cast vehicles in shops.

The above was bought (in the UK) from QD (also available from Wilko) for £2.99 in 2011.

Take a standing figure with you so you can compare the sizes, the above was quoted at 1/60.

A number of World War 2 models might be suitable, this Warlord Games GMC could be tricked out for crossing the waste lands of Milton Keynes.

Other manufacturers are available.
