@Andym: Thanks very much. That's might kind of you.

@Ultravanillasmurf: Once more - thanks very much!

@Randell: Oh, don't worry. :D With these Infinity minis it's kinda hard to tell if that happened or not and it's often only noticeable when you paint those specific bits. Either way, I think they turned out well and I hope that you like them. :)

So let's see what's next on the list. More Nurgle stuff, I suppose. Well, as soon as the replacement part for the Malifaux figures (feel free to visit the thread about those chaps here: http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=103777.15 ) arrives. Then I can finish those, and THEN I can go on (or back) to Nurgly Death Guardy things.

@Breazer: Thanks very much!

The past two months I've also been working on a slightly out of the ordinary side project resulting in these:

These aren't commission jobs, but a bday present for my brother. The "Blue Bomber" (ehem) is a third party controller I'd only gotten to test the techniques I wanted to apply to the proper present one. Took me ages, it was a voyage with many ups and downs. Once I finally called it done I got out the original Nintendo GC controller to make it the proper Ninja Gaiden themed "production model". :p My brother's hugely into Smash Brothers and pines for Ryu Hayabusa to be added to the roster at some point. (btw: If you hold any power over the deeds of Nintendo, please make that a thing. That would be swell. :D ). Hence the theme. Learned a lot about GC controllers over the past 8 weeks, I have to say.

Gave the controllers to him on Thursday (the blue one more for show rather than for play), he was highly pleased.

But that's all past now and yesterday I started doing proper (but unglamorous things) again: administrative stuff, preparing new models for painting, priming stuff, varnishing the Infinity minis, etc. In the mean time I left scatter terrain I've been painting on the side on the table over night. It's generally not a good idea to leave fresh fruit and vegetable lying out over night in July. When I turned on the desk light today I found the table crawling with these:

A huge swarm of chaos cultists, nibbling at the half-painted plums and cheese. I'll try to shoo them off now by basing and priming them. Wish me luck.

Right, how's everybody enjoying their weekend? Watching the footballs and stuff?

Here's a WIP shot of the new Nurgle bosses:

Hope you like them so far! The shot may be a bit odd, because I think my flash just died. Which sucks. Maybe it gets better again. Anybody here good with plug-on camera flashes?

Heyhey, here we got shots of the test minis for the Chaos cultists:

The only orders I had for these was "not necessarily the same colour scheme as on the Nurgle dudes, but make the basing the same". So I basically was free to act as I wanted. Which threw me a little to be honest. In the end I went off of the 3rd edition chaos cultists studio paintjob and went on from there. Hope you like them!

Since the first 27-ish figures are done I'm working on the rest now:

The temperatures aren't making this any easier. :D Apart from that I have to start preparing for Vienna Miniatures Convention in early August:

Highly recommending this convention. It's going to be a big deal (for what conventions look like around here at least). Throughout the two days you'll be able to watch "international mini painting celebs" do their thing and of course I'll be present as well with my workshop table(s). As always I'm happy to chat and paint with people at the event, show off some minis and maybe help out with some hints if you have any questions. I'll have brushes, paints and test minis, but you're more than welcome to bring along figures of your own.

Looking forward to seeing you there! ;)

@OSHIROmodels: Cheers!

...and because we all love WIP shots, here's another one:

I have to let you know though that this will be the last WIP of these guys though. They're essentially finished. All that's left to do is add the very special grass to the bases. Hope you like them!
