Hello all,

I'd like to make a quick announcement as I have been running a little campaign that I created a few weeks ago:

#BrushesvsDemons - Sponsorship & support for UK Army Veterans

This is about a group of UK Army veterans in Wales. Andy, the organizer of the group and also a veteran himself, contacted me a while ago, because his group was interested in one of my upcoming miniatures: David Stirling. There are ex-SAS members in the group and they were keen on getting Stirling. So the first few resin casts that I had, I sent directly to Wales as sort of a sponsorship starter package.

Some of my friends and customers who learned about this, started asking if it was possible to sponsor miniatures for Andy and his group as well and I thought "sure, why not?".

So I happily put together a broader plan around this and this is how it works:

Everyone can purchase one or more #BrushesvsDemons Sponsorships - http://stoessisheroes.com/product/sponsorship-for-brushes-vs-demons-support-for-british-army-veterans/
For each sponsorship I send one miniature from my range to Andy (and they choose which ones they want).
For every 3 sponsorships from the community, I throw in one more on top.

And the best part is that for everyone who shows his support, I have a 25% discount voucher for the next purchase.

Here is the full background in a blog post that I wrote about Andy and the guys back in March: http://stoessisheroes.com/support-for-uk-army-veterans/

Cheers,
Stoessi

Truly remarkable range of figures....I'm learning so much more about the period as well as having the opportunity to purchase such beautifully sculpted miniatures!
Now listen to me you benighted muckers. We're going to teach you soldiering. The world's noblest profession. When we're done with you, you'll be able to slaughter your enemies like civilized men.

I can see myself snapping up those British Airborne guys toot sweet.

As an aside, Major Carlyle didn't actually exist, but the inspiration was the real life Major Allison Digby Tatham-Warter. You can understand why the makers of 'A Bridge Too Far' changed the name ... all he had to do was introduce himself twice and the film would be halfway over. The real man seems to have been quite a character and he survived the battle to (eventually) escape later. His post-WW2 exploits seem pretty interesting, too.

'Sir John ejaculated explosively, sitting up in his chair.' ... 'The Black Gang'.
