Poles & Russians v Swedes
« on: June 27, 2017, 10:02:55 AM »

Another game at the Grimsby Wargames Society - the very best place in town - this time a Great Northern War game.  Pitting Poles & Russians against an inferior number of Swedes.  All part of my aim to build a much larger, multi-player game later this year and to get the balance right in the rules.

We had a lot of fun a while ago with a campaign using those three plus Cossacks and Turks.

I really liked your work. Tell me please - what kind of helmets on the heads of guys with the banner "red cross on a blue background"?

thank you for the kind comment.  I didn't paint the Poles but bought them from a club member who has a lot of talent.

The Pancerni you're asking about are Hinchliffe figures from the 70's/80's and I suspect that the helmet was the sculptors attempt at the iron skull cap with mail rather than a specific design.
