I generally never play using point systems for any rules and despise balanced games. Indeed, I even enjoy playing the underdog and for that matter losing.

The Rampant and related family of Osprey games tend to be simplistic enough to easily alter to match one's own purposes.

Herewith, a tank game somewhere on the Eastern Front home brew rules still a work in progress. But they are simple fast and great for playing with the likes of my son.

Another tank battle game here. This one modern and in the desert. The idea was to get the armoured column down the road. Unfortunately the enemy had other ideas.

What makes these games fun is the use of a periscope and real line of site becomes a pressing concern.

Running a gun / armour trial between a Hetzer and a Sherman 76, using two rule systems to see how they represent the vehicles characteristics.

One hour Wargames (modified) ACW using scenario 11 basically 15 turns to capture or hold the crossroads. Swung backwards a small forwards but at the end the Rebs reinforcements finished off the Union Stragglers and sealed a famous victory. Video game using messenger and players in the Midlands and South West.
