A new round of Chain of Command this Saturday.

Here with two of my heroic squads advancing through a field, towards the defenders of the Reich.

It was as bloody as I expected, but then again sometimes when you commit to a path, there is no way back  :-I

This.  :)

The old Mordheim freelancer makes an excellent Vampire.

Who's the big guy in the back of the bottom photo, by the way? Big shield and crested helmet, I like the look of him as a Greek god for OGAM...

Thanks JollyBob and TWD.

Jollybob, I shall have to ask my campaign player who provided the figure. In our game world it is 'The Colossus' of Portomaggiore that once guarded the gates of the city but which has been brought upon campaign (it is hauled upon giant carts on the march).

You can see him here later in the battle ...

A typically violent game of Shoot N' Skedaddle; an abysmal loss for the Outlaws.

Fistful of Lead, Darwin Tabletop Gamers. I dusted off my 28mm figures for a 4 player Fistful of Lead 'Saving Private Ryan' game...with character stats I made up inspired by the film. There was Captain Miller (Veteran), Sgt Horvath (Veteran), Pte Carpazo, Pte Ryan (of course), Medic Wade, Pte Jackson (sniper)...but i just had to include the insipid CPL Upham (he was a D8 for everything, -1 for Shooting, -1 for wound rolls, and only 2 wounds in total)...his job was basically to hug close to the medic and not die, a job which he surprisingly excelled at.

It was a really close game that went down to a race to capture the bridge on the final round.

Let's just say it was a Hollywood ending.

All in all it was a great fun game, with loads of close calls, weapon stoppages at crucial moments, tangled barb wire shennigans, brutal close combats, scads of grenades and miraculous last stands from Matt Damon in particular. We introduced two new players to FFoL with no dramas, it's a little bloody ripper of a little system, one of the best recommendations I've had here on LAF.
