You did a very nice job on those Army of the Dead chaps. You really got an eye for color and subtle nuance.

I'm a fan and collector of the GW LOTR figures, so I really like what you did with those Goblins and the Army of the Dead figures.  Really impressive!

Thanks guys. The army of the dead figures are so nice with lots of detail and different textures, it seems a shame to just paint them a ghostly blue!

It's all amazing.  I was looking at the post and as I considered my reply it started with the goblins, then the zombies, and the army of the dead.  The start tones of the skins and muted cloth are fantastic.  The bright flashes of blood leap from the photos.  Great work!

Nord, how did you do the skin tone on the original post with the goblins and the ogre?

I didn't write down any colours, but I can give you a description of my technique. Prime white. Glaze skin with a pale colour, then shade areas with slightly darker version. Maybe add in some blue/green/grey for deeper shadow areas. Stipple with red/purple for blotchy effect. Use blood effect plus black/purple for gorey bits.
