Thanks guys - not yet painted. But we'll get there.

Okay so the Space Marines I got yesterday are taller than the older Marines, but smaller than Primaris Marines. Is there somewhere that tells me the history of Space Marine miniatures? I found this:
http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Miniatures_(Space_Marines)

Still confused why these guys sit between the older marines and the Primaris ones.

A round of applause for von Lucky, for showing us the first recruits for the Chapter. Mine are still taking a bath to get rid of their Ebay paint...

Mine are en route from their previous chapter house. They have seen the light... Is that some sort of Space Marine heresy, changing chapters?

Working for the one company your whole life isn't done in this century. Employees are more mobile.

But not too mobile to be labelled a heretic mercenary.

Conversions done:

A little more on the blog:

Well done.

The use of Kroot bits has given me some ideas for my beastman guard.

Now to search out some Womble sprues from the pit of despair (more fun than painting black over Caliban Green).

GW Rotting Flesh (discontinued) or Kislev Flesh

#999966
GW Death Guard Green

GW Bleached Bone (discontinued) or Ushabti Bone

ooh hey, I still have some rotting flesh and bleached bone around, I really like rotting flesh, I'm going to be as when that bottle reaches bottom.

I'm still reading up on my Space Marine lore, I might have to bump you from the two roles (as in the Emperor's Champion/Company Champion and the 1st company captain aren't usually one and the same). What do you want to be? Or for the Lead Legion is this the case that they are one and the same?

At least I got the Admiral right:

And I'll make myself a sergeant in the 7th company.

The Lead Legion is formed of Space Marines from various chapters who are removed from their current service due to their consistent collecting of fiddly bits aboard the battle barge and an incessant need to tinker with and paint their power armour... lol
