Haven't posted in a while; however this is strangely inspiring.

As an old member, elder of several LPLs(and being pipped at the post once or twice),Potato Cup Winner, and benefactor; I give myself the rank of veteran sergeant, and will duly paint up a Terminator. As I have been off Forum/in-active,it is likely that Veteran Sergeant Blackwolf is either rogue or 'fallen' :o And all this will help me finish my Inquisamunda gang!

All perfectly reasonable Veteran Sergeant Blackwolf.

On that theme I submit the following suggestions:

Re. Chapter symbol, could just be a black logo (tower with a black circle behind it, the whole shoulder pad would be #f6f6d6 (Vallejo Light Flesh) anyway. YPU - able to provide an updated version?

Something like this?

Personally, I still think the white background circle would be cool, since it's a staple of marine symbols. But printing white is a lot more difficult with decals so this might make hope printing a more realistic option.

Formidable idea! Although I´m not very much in the 40K universe (and never was much before too), I agree that everything that provides identity, solidarity and likemindedness should be most welcomed.
I like LEAD LEGION very much and would even be talked into buying and painting an appropriate Space Marine model (although I would have preferred painting another Sister of Battle...  ;) ).

Inspiring.

The colour rendering on my ZX81 is a bit ropey, am I right in thinking the scheme is buff overall, khaki details and light flesh shoulder pads (and helmet)?

I agree; the white circle looks better.

And for those printing in black on transparent; painting the white circle first and placing the decal over it is always an option...

Oh; and as long as we're giving ourselves ranks and titles; I'll assign myself to the rank of Scout Sergeant. Something I've actually been in real life. Additionally, I still have a pile of the old plastic scouts lying about which could come in handy...  :D

It's worth pointing out that if anyone is local to a GW store I believe they still give a free marine (I think a new big Primaris Marine) away for free if you ask for one - as a painting tutorial piece or whatever.

That's what I've done - YPU has light flesh all over. Up to you really, as long as you use those colours we'll have a fairly coherent look. Even with camo, etc.

Yeah - white looks better. I'm going to test it first to see what looks good, etc.

Going to try this out tomorrow in the Melbourne store.

I like the higher contrast of the darkest and brightest rather than 3 colours which after weathering and washing might blend together, but your mileage will vary I'm sure!

Thanks YPU, gives us an option.

No problem had to figure out a couple of functions I Inkscape though, since I fudged some of the shapes by slapping blocks of the background colour over them.  lol

Just checked my colors and I have to go out and find some Vallejo Buff  o_o I have it but it's from Tamiya. If everything goes as planned, maybe I'll paint some Marines next week  lol

I just primed my new Primaris Marines. Things are busy but I'll bump 'em in the queue. There a deadline?
