Why has no-one mentioned vehicles yet?  :D
Unfortunately I think my stock of SM vehicles had dried out - in which case I actually did manage to finish something!

But I do have a dread....

Oh, I just may have to paint a squad or two here - at Enfilade this year I got a couple of 3 packs or the original lead tactical marines, and I have a few that never got painted in my official "Howling Frogs" paint scheme.

That might be a little long... but I think we can still be generous. Does, say, 40,000 years sound good?

I normally lurk here but this is a really interesting idea. I have gotten out my old Sisters Army and have started adding a few units. I think a squad of some Space Marines would be a good addition to them. I have some decent unpainted metal figures lying around plus some plastics which I will repaint.

Has anyone worked out what GW paints would work for this colour scheme?

I have some old metal Rogue Trader Marines that I finally got around to painting a couple of years ago - only to completely screw up the paint job.

I may sacrifice them to the Mr Muscle Oven Cleaner (or dettol depending on whether I used metal or plastic jump packs) and try again with this colour scheme.

No idea what they count as in the new fluff, so it'll be some sort of lost tribe thing ;D

No guarantees I finish before the heat death of the Universe, never mind 40,000 years (what is this, some kind of speed painting contest?), but I'll see what I can do...

edited to correct the brand of oven cleaner :D

It's worth pointing out that if anyone is local to a GW store I believe they still give a free marine (I think a new big Primaris Marine) away for free if you ask for one - as a painting tutorial piece or whatever.
Thanks again for the tip Elbows. I walked into the Melbourne store at lunch time today, the dude (he was pretty chill) said he'd unfortunately run out of the Primaris Marine samples, but broke open a set of the Space Marines + Paint Set to give me the three Marines in them (slightly more animated than the three marine set). So that's bulked out my squad nicely.

Same - though I have some spare Epic Space Marine vehicles...

Has anyone worked out what GW paints would work for this colour scheme?

These were sprayed Zandri dust (most of the bases are unshaded). The bodies have had an agrax Earthshade wash. Green is Castellan, brown is mournfang.

In theory... as long as the chapter symbol was used... these marines could be in camouflage? Maybe?

I have some camouflaged Primaris Marines that are in the WIP stages... and they don't have a chapter yet... so maybe they can be 'Leaden Keep' marines?

Yep, nothing stopping the chapter from adapting camouflage like the old days.

Personally, I would keep the shoulder with the insignia in the chapter colours, even if that doesn't really make sense.

The thing is that the motif of the castle on the white moon will stand out quite nicely on any but a light background so would work very nicely on my dark(ish) camouflaged scheme:
