Really nice looking army. It also looks like you are quite far with them already!

Well worn looking army. Looks like it's seen some hefty actions!  8)

Thanks everyone. It certainly helps with the motivation.

I am still not done with this army. I have some ways to go yet. I have been a bit distracted by Landsknechts at the moment. But I am surely returning to this.

At some point I figure they will need a bit of noble cavalry as well.

This project is still very much alive. Even though it has been a year since my last post...

Yesterday we started playtesting a scenario for the battle of Lyndanisse 1219.
The Danish king Valdemar II is on a crusade in Estonia and is building a castle in Lyndanisse (present day Tallin) But he is attacked on all sides by the heathen Estonians. But as it looks most grim the heavens open and the Danish flag Dannebrog falls from heaven and grants the Danish army victory. - So the story goes.

We played Lions Rampant with a few tweaks four forces. Two Crusaders and two pagans. It was a very enjoyable game. And we have a few ideas to make it even better.

Cool. I did'nt see you taking any photos, but then again it was an intense game with my mood going up and down acording to my position along the table.

I have made a new banner for Vitslav. I found a banner for the count of Rügen, which I thing is more appropriate for him.

Cheers
Erik

I only took two and this was the only one who turned out halfway decent.

But you might have missed it between all your crying and gnashing of teeth.

Fantastic looking game! I’d be very interested to learn what ideas for modifications to Lion Rampant you’re experimenting with since that’s the rule set I’m looking at for my own, old 15mm, Baltic armies that have been pining away on the shelf.  Your terrain is amazing.  It simply beckons to be played on.
Any recommendations for good books on the Baltic Crusades?

You have two with the same questions! Game setup figures and game, excellent! Keep up the good job! Cheers!

Like the castle!

Me too!  8)

Though I do have a very large Grand Manner resin that only has three pieces of it painted up as of yet!

Did you draw up any plans before the build?
