If the weather holds, this weekend could see an exciting development!

Honest, it has all been about undercoating in dodgy conditions, after all the effort I went to in building this sucker, I did not want a grainy undercoating experience again...

I have even made a custom cardboard undercoating box because it is so big.
So much to do, so little time...

Not quite, Margate in Kent, England. Although the weather would appear to be similar at the moment.

What a scorcher of a weekend, I have to undercoat the beast.

I had a few last gasp things to attach before I could undercoat...

Engine nozzles for the landing engines.

I also added what could be called missiles into a recess, or they could be called bits of sprue that have an interesting shape.

I added a few rivets.

The wait is over, the sun is out, the temperature is up, I am ready to risk it.

I had to make a box big enough for the model.

Then just go for it. The outside is grey.

After painting the exterior of the upper and lower hull, I masked off the outside of the lower hull so the interior could be painted white.

I have made some space and can now start thinking about painting the beast.

The outside will mainly gray and grey.

I have started on the nose section to see how much grey and gray is needed. The very light grey does not work, it needs to be gray instead.

Coronasan, I am curious, what is "gray" and how does it differ from various shades of grey? You obviously make a distinction. I always thought gray was just the American spelling.

Sorry I was being facetious, I have several different greys paints that I am going to use. I sometimes forget which spelling of grey is dominant in the UK.

And Canada. Despite American grammar slowly, pervasively invading, Canada still predominantly uses British proper English. I hope it lasts at least my lifetime.  lol
