My 15mm Prehistoric Project (Pg 5 - Australia Theatre)
« on: July 22, 2017, 03:54:54 AM »
Hi,

I finally finished some of my 15mm TUSK project and thought I'd share some photos. I utilised the dip method as I wanted to make the process quick and relatively easy.

Khurasan Miniatures Cavemen and Ladies.

A trap, which needs the finishing touches added, and associated markers shamelessly copied from Hetairoi Wargames. I have another trap in the making...

My original fire markers and a measurement stick.

Some mammoths. These are Mojo - Animal Planet toys that I picked up rather cheap.

A Khurasan Mammoth, without riders.

Various critters.

More critters.

I have selection of Mick Yarrow Miniatures to work my way through and I am waiting for a parcel from Acheson to arrive with more goodies.

Lovely stuff. As someone else who has a 15mm TUSK project done, I can appreciate the appeal. Nice fire and burnt markers.

Wow! Those are lovely.

If Khurisan had a UK distributor, I would have gone down the same route I think.

I've ordered from him quite a few times with no issue other than customs and the PO taking a large cut for minimal service :)

'Minimal Service'. That's a very polite way of putting it Andrew.

Like the look, am wondering if you have any photos of the mammoths against 20 or 25mm figures.
Sizewize they would seem ok, but would like idea on compatability before sending money and gift HM customs and the Post office for their interference.
thanks for the ideas and inspiration.

I will try and get a photo taken over the weekend with a 25mm/28mm miniature for you.

Some additions to my collection -

I recently watched 'Quest for Fire' and thought the Wildmen of the Savannah by Khurasan Miniatures would fit the bill quite nicely. I have include a Savage Ape by Tabletop Miniatures into the group.

Khurasan Miniatures.

Below are some archers. These are conversions.

Another 'Hero' inspired by the cover of the video game, 'Farycry - Primal'.

I need to repaint his spear... ::)
