Found this thread thanks to Mason :)

Great start for a very interesting build!

Are the bases of the androids a give-away towards your colour choices for the floor of Mother Hydra? ;)

About time that I came back for another butchers myself....

Nice work on the Androids, mate.
I opted for gold (and white) on my own as well.

That looks the business Vanvlak!

Bertie drags over a large heavy chair into a awkward and very conspicuous spot , the non wheeled base screeching on the floor, and flops down into it.

Cheers
Matt

Guys, you're making me self-conscious.
Bit of a hiatus as I was stuck for the floor, but this morning (at 03:30... don't ask) inspiration struck  :D

Everything can be solved with coffee stirrers, cereal card and superglue  lol

Glad you have a solution mate, I hate it when projects derail because there is no solution to a problem.

Cheers
Matt

Thanks. No card though, the MH is to be stored in the cellar, and the humidity would kill it!

Not the floor tiles yet - cargo, in the form of a hab-module.
This is one out of three, very useful lasercut thingies, suitably large and ideal as scatter terrain but also small enough - or at least low enough - to be useful in creating a 'layout' within Mother Hydra.

The client contracted the MH's shipping line before she was built, and she's seen here during outfitting with the module already rusting in one of the many holds! Not that the client really bothers...

...they are a bureaucracy after all.

Here's a better look at the hab module and the logo of its owners:

Oh dear....

At least their next set of clients (who appreciate the company's lax policy on cargo restrictions) seem nicer people.

This is going to be a strange sort of universe... :o

They look like they were meant to be there.
Nice rust too.

As their new clients, I have only heard good things about the WY Corporation, so your crew should be in for a real treat.

Icarus Miniatures - part of the Icarus Project range, they were clearing out stock and I got 3 at a discount, not sure they have more - and a quick look at the site later, they have two smaller sizes left:
http://www.icarusminiatures.com/product-category/the-icarus-project/clearance/
They fit together quite well. I did not use the framework which goes on top (identical to the bottom frame, which cannot be seen in my pics) and which allows the units to be stacked on top of each other; or the solar panels which were also included and which can be seen in the webstore pics on the link.

And yes, the crew are in for some fun...

Tiny update on the Mother Hydra:
It's grown bigger.

Besides the pallet I have decided to add another area, which will link to the old pallet with some sort of transport system - this will consist of 4 2' x 2' boards which will be an main cargo hold, promenade and shuttle bay all in one - there's space enough!
And this will have the promised green and white flooring which will feature in the pallet section, but which will be the main theme here.

One corner of the area will be the ship's pizza outlet, run by Pizza Planet of course...

Meanwhile the ship has a new inhabitant which I have not had time to photo - a mouse droid - which boarded clandestinely when the ship was inspected by an Imperial Star Destroyer, I guess.

I like the sound of this, mate.
Your MH is going to be very different to the concept idea of my own version.
