Inspirational stuff. My group are just setting out on Spectre, hope to get cracking next year and maybe even get a blog going.

Jockjay, welcome aboard! Spectre is really a great ruleset, and I've found that the "modern SpecOps" stuff can be surprisingly fun, specially if done in the line of TV shows like STRIKE BACK, SEAL TEAM, THE BRAVE, VALOR and... yes: SHE SPIES!  lol

Thank you, Jockjay! And wellcome in the S:O squad!  :)

To confirm Dinohunterpoa words, I share with you some pics of our last night game... It was fun indeed!  :D

My Assault Group had a two step mission:
1) Blow up the power plant to shut down command centre defence system...
2) Get into the command centre to steal some papers and top secret stuff, and go away quick and safe...

Well... I have to say...
First step: achived  :D
Then... things went a bit hot!  :o  A lucky SPG-9 shot blown away my Humvee, with half of my team inside  >:(
Stuck under heavy insurgent fire, I couldn't do anything but look at the bad guys running away with their secret stuff  :(

Considerations:
1) S:O is always a great scenic game! I love the cinematic yet quite enough realistic feeling of our games  :D
2) First time we used vehicles. This really add something to the game! Too bad we didn't managed to study well vehicles rules, and book-keeping was a bit heavy... our fault! Next time will be better!
3) First time we prepared our strategy in advance (you can see the "satellite" pic  :D ;D). This, IMHO, is the best way to approach S:O. Preparing both armylist and strategy in advance saves a lot of time, and add a good spy spice to the whole thing  :)
4) Most important... we had a ton of fun  :D

Now... stop talking! Pics! Pics!  ;)

Nice set up and evocative photographs.

You might want to add some descriptions to the photographs showing the progress.

Fantastic looking set-up.

It's not big, or clever, but let's do it anyway

You, sir, need more cotton wool!

Well my wife has ordered me some SO stuff for xmas. I'm looking at the insurgent kill team, 2 deniable ops guys for special weapons, and about 11 Spetsnaz operators. We are all buzzing for it. keep up the inspirational works gents.

As Always, thank you all for your support  :)

You might want to add some descriptions to the photographs showing the progress.
Next time I'll try to get some coherent pictures to offer something similar to a bat rep  :)

And... while I'm waiting for the postman to bring me a ton of cotton balls (KA-BOOM!!!   ;) lol).... I'm working on some walls to improve the table. This is my first wall, so I kept it simple: plasticard for base, cork for the core and plaster to cover... pro memoria: next time FIRST plaster on the walls, THEN sand and glue on the base, or you mess up a bit  ;D lol
As the plaster dries, I'll splat some color on it  :)

(in the painting line: hostages and some special minis for the next scenario  ;D)

I like to use flickering led explosion markers, but I don't have one big enough for an objective like the tower in your game... yet!  :D

Those have to be the most realistic looking explosion effects I've seen on a gaming table!  Wow! Just wow! :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

But realistic in a Hollywood sense. Love it.

And right now is the season for flickering led teacandles. You can buy the everywhere for next to nothing. Hot glue some teddybear stuffing all around and hit with a black spray. Easy and very effectfull on the table.
