Hi everybody!
I finished the walls... and I'm pretty happy with the result!
You can see an exemple in the first pic.
If someone is interested, here is the full recipe:
Structure:
1 mm plasticard base
Cork (5 mm thick)
Wall putty to cover the cork
sand + glue for the base
Paint:
Walls: Gray spray primer + White drybrush + strong tone armypainter and brown Vallejo diluted wash in the lower part
Base: Ocher + some GW "bleached bone" spots for small stones + strong tone armypainter + brown Vallejo diluted wash
More... I had another great S:O game a few days ago and, as usual, I share with you some pics.
As you can see the scenery is (slowly) growing and becoming more complex.
We did again the same scenario: my assault force had to blow up the power plant then, with the electronic defences down, get some secret files from the insurgents head quarter.
From the pic, you can see my tactic: I split my Group into 2 teams (Alfa and Bravo). The first had to reach the power plant and blow it up, while the second was going to get into the right position to assault the headquarter (lower left corner, with the star sign). The red arrows are my plan, while the green ones show the path of patrolling insurgents (Group 2 and 3). There were 3 more insurgents groups (1, 4 and 5 in green on the pic), who became alerted as soon as my men were spotted (that happened just before blowing the power plant).
I managed to blow up the power plant, but the alfa team was spotted and, after a short but heavy fight, was whiped out
(my fault, I didn't wait the right moment to act
). While the insurgents were "distracted" from the alfa team, bravo team managed to assault the headquarter, killing all the insurgents on the way, and got away safe with the secret files... so the mission, despite the loss of 3 men (alfa team), was considered quite a success...
I hope all this make sense to you
I'm not really used to write battle reports
Anyway... The game was, as always, great fun. The scenario needs some more tuning, but it starts to work well.
I'll write it here soon (I hope), so maybe if someone wants to try it, I can have some feedback
and now... pics
