Stalled Indian Mutiny Project
« on: August 09, 2017, 01:19:50 PM »
Hi, here's a couple of pics of my stalled Indian Mutiny project using (mainly) Iron Duke figures; which are excellent, even if the odd one is a bit on the delicate side and with cracking service from Empress Miniatures . Unfortunately as I started to read more about India I took more of an interest in the Sikh Wars so this project has taken a back seat and likely to be left to languish in the depths of the spare room. Here's a couple of pics and a link to more on my blog, cheers Pete  https://jacobiteirish.blogspot.co.uk/

Very nicely done, shame its stalled for you. Lets hope some positive comments here can revive the interest for you. :)

Cracking job.  The native officer skin tones and the officers blue and whites particularly stand out for me.

You have some fine painted figures on your blog.
Hang on to your IM figures, you will want to paint them again.

If it makes you feel better, all my projects are stalled, including the ones I started this week.

Gorgeous figures, beautifully painted!
Situation in my case is just the opposite. I've finished 6 battalions of Mutineers and 2 regiments of British infantry and would very much like to continue doing so. I have at least another 5 regiments primed and waiting to be painted. Alas, two other projects- earlier promises-  are now taking up nearly all of my spare painting time.
I was in a bit of a painting slump a few months ago and these figures literally dragged me out of it.
That said,  while looking for a few extra figures to be used in the Indian Mutiny ( as if Iron Duke hasn't enough!) I stumbled onto the Afghan War figures by Studio Miniatures. And now I'm bitten by that bug as well......

A fine paintjob! I'm sure you'll find your mood to continue!

Thank you for showing your figures - with my mediocre painting possibilities they make excellent examples to follow !
About "stalling" let me remark that this is only relative: just a few weeks ago I started painting a Hinchliffe SYW army that I knów I bought before we moved house - and we have lived here since 1982. So do not despair  :D.
