Salute 2009 - Geezer pics
« on: March 28, 2009, 06:20:48 PM »
Just got back from Salute. My feet are aching, but my wallet is surprisingly healthy.

I had the great pleasure of meeting Paul 'Overlord' (a very, very nice man) and I can confirm that the Geezers table is even better in the flesh.

With all the excitement I didn't get to take many pictures. but here is shot of the Geezers table:

And there are a few more in this folder:

Brilliant table Overlord. I am definately going to have to hop the pond one of these years. By the way, Uti, what was the game on the "Mordhiem-esque" table you photos of? The lighting effect was very eerie looking. :D

Blackwing - It was the 'Assault on Innsmouth'. I'm sure it's been posted somewhere on LAF before, but it was a participation run by some french guys. Looked great and very popular.

Good, I can at least say I saw Overlord there then. :D

It was indeed an awesome game, but I'm hoping for a full cityscape next Salute...  ::)

Overlord -A true Geezer :)

In my opinion the best game at Salute this year. Its the second time I have had the pleasure of playing on Pauls fabulous table and I have lost on both occasions.(I blame Camp dave for yesterdays mistakes ;))
Awesome stuff Paul. ;D

A really good looking game, which will be all the better for the addition of a Bus!
Well done, Overlord, a triumph!

PS Looks a bit clean for London in the 70's tho....

The two figures standing outside of Arkwright's shop.  Are these conversions or are they available?  If available please post link.

Great photos by the way.   :)

Thank you to everyone for the generous comments.  8)

Thank you, particularly for the bus.  :D
I need to make some scale newspapers & scatter them about the table.

The two figures standing outside of Arkwright's shop.  Are these conversions or are they available?

Arkwright & G-G-Granville are both conversions.
Arkwright is a conversion of Artizans 'Arne': http://www.artizandesigns.com/prod.php?prod=1224
I removed his right arm & pistol at the elbow & resculpted it in his pocket.  I also added hair & a moustache.

Granville is a the Foundry Old West 'Irritable Shopkeeper' with additional hair, & his tie poking out of his tank-top
I also removed the watchchain & the buckle on the back of his waistcoat (now a tank-top):

The bike is converted from the Foundry Home Guard pack.
(Thanks to Aircav for the bike & shopkeer.  :D )

Thanks for that. That will save a bit of time.  :)

Belated thank you to Uti Long Smile for posting pics of the Geezers.
I had no time to take any on Saturday.  Cheers.  :D
