I took some pics of one of our BEF figures next to one of my GWM Germans to give an idea of size difference, but there isn't much of one  ;)

Cheers

Here's the ones I've done, as promised. Sorry for the slight delay...

Some of them jar a little for me (though on reflection a couple of those shots have the Musketeer chaps leaning forward, which emphasizes the differences a little unfairly), but on the whole I think I'm warming to the little fellas. In my hands they seemed so teeny-tiny, but I think I can probably make use of them after all. I reckon they'll go with most of my GWM early Tommies, especially if I keep them in separate units.  It would be a pity not to use such lovely figures.

For those who want Highlanders, but find the Musketeer Minis a little to small, you should take a look at this;

A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://www.kingdomtitans.ca/us/

Plynkes: I guess you can manage to mix all the figures by using a thicker base for the musketeer ones (sometimes I use an extra coin between the mini and the actual base to mix older foundry minis with the rest of the collection).
But I must also admit that those renegade chaps are rather bulky (I have a couple of ww1 french and they really stand out next to the foundry and GWM ones)

BTW: those musketeer minis are really well done!  :)
Cheers,
Pedro

It appears that possibly the GWM have been coming down in size (look at the photo where they are real close to the Musketeer mini).

I am not saying for sure but it can happen. GWM are closer to RN in size - at least the initial releases. I have not done a test recently.

Molding techniques also can vary sizes by varying the shrinkage rate. Silicon molds rarely cause shrinkage with masters if used correctly. Rubber molds will have varying degrees of success with low to moderate shrinkage depending upon the skills of the mold maker.

Renegade supposedly used some technique similar to what Foundry uses to make "thicker" figures.

When I originally started my range, I went for a size in between Foundry and Renegade so they would be usable with more brands than less.

In the end I find with most of my customers that it is a personal choice what fits or doesn't. Height differences can be hidden/reduced with base mounting and also by keeping certain brands together in separate units.
