Meaning the Carolingian line?  I have a bunch of those and they are good.

I have not seen the Old Glory ones. However, if GamesPoet is correct in saying that they are Carolingians, they are about 500 years too late for my use. These guys are meant to be early Merovingians/Salians around the time of Clovis I, circa 450-500 AD.

True!

It seems the Franks being referred to are listed on Old Glory's site under "Hellenistic Punic Wars to the Fall of Rome", under "Fall of Rome" and "Franks" ...

So here are the next Franks, finally. Only one archer is unconverted, the rest have a conversion of some sort or another. The hairy ginger started as a Attecotti. All figures are Footsore minis. I've got the last of the Roman Levy on the table now, hopefully they should be done in the next week or less, depending on whether I get distracted by more Franks or not.

If anyone is interested in my Domain of Soissons campaign supplement for Dux Brit, let me know! I've got the first draft of the full supplement written up (A whopping 40 pages!) and would like any comments and/or critique. If you are interested in seeing it, or play-testing it, let me know and I'll send it your way! It contains updated Romans and brand new forces and campaign rules for the Franks and Visigoths.

I, for one, would be very much interested in seeing it!

Back again with some more Roman levy and a Gallo-Roman warrior, all Footsore minis. I've been improving my skills, thanks to the Footsore Friday videos on their Facebook. Also look at all those chickens! Let me know what you guys think!

Those are looking very, very good. I'm still getting around to reading those rules now that things are settling down after the holidays and my father-in-law's funeral. I really like the look of your guys there, shields are looking great, too.

Thanks Richard. The pictures are a little crap, but I'm pretty pleased with them. Next up are more Franks and the Gallo-Roman elites. No rush on the reading. I'm interested in what you think about them, though.

Naw, the pictures convey your minis. I like the Frankish tunic in this batch, it pops.

I'm adding a very small allied (or enemy, depending) contingent to my Gallo-Romans. It goes back to an idea I had from the discussion in my own Gallo-Roman thread. I'm doing a very small land-owner force of household troops (unarmored spearmen and archers) and an armoured barbarian mercenary unit in the land-owner's pay. Waiting on some BTD Late Roman figures right now.

Actually, they're pretty much too many as is (unless used for a skirmish game) but one does need some units to move around on the table top. I had a patrician and his wife already painted as well as a villa built. I also had an arthurian personality from Artisan that I just painted, who has a punch-me-in-the-face look about him, for the evil land-owning son: doesn't know much about military matters but he sure looks snazzy in his kit.

I'll post them as a separate project, but it fits in line with this theme.
