Star wars Legion
« on: January 03, 2020, 06:28:48 PM »
My brother went and got SW Legion for Xmas so I thought I would jump on the Band wagon

I got a box of rebel pathfinders

and  box of specialists

the figures are very nice but a strange mix of scales compare to my imperial assault the droid are the exact same size it is only the base thickness, some of the legion guns are smaller then Imperial assault

The figure areall over the place, what do you think?

I love the Legion mins. They are certainly big chunks, being at least 32mm to the eye (I'd guess) but they're got the flavour I think of as classic Star Wars. Did you see the trick I (accidentally) discovered for making nice space ship floor bases?

Legion figures are closer to actual 1/48th scale.  I was annoyed when they ended up mostly bigger than my Imperial Assault figures too.  But then I saw how much better the quality on them was and honestly, that made me feel better.

Also, it always really put me off how all over the map the scales on the Imperial Assault figures were.  So far, Legion has been fairly consistent.

Also, there are several toys (as you have already found) that scale really well with the Legion figures.

I am looking forward to seeing more.

Which is fine  :)

I was already invested quite a bit with the WotC bendies before these or Imperial assault came out. If they’d have been allowed to go with 28mm then they very probably would’ve gotten a lot of my money (not the rules, just the figures).

Game went well I won :D
Rule have a few strange ideas that will take a bit of getting used too but it was fun
A close run game that went right down to the last unit standing
and the characters are a bit deadly Luke wiped out a whole storm trooper unit in one turn.
I Liked the vehicles as well they work well the movement rulers are well thought out
away some pictures of the game notice the unpainted figures shocking :o :o :D

And a heck of a lot counters

There are some really nice Legion figures, but the size thing is a pain. Very interesting about the droid though Colin l, I had no idea they were the same size as the IA ones. What other ones have you noticed work with the Imperial Assault figures?

Cheers Colin. I picked up one of the terrain sets and it looks fine too.
