Rebasing/reviving Lucid Eye Cro Magnons
« on: July 27, 2023, 06:12:43 PM »
So a couple years ago began a Saga AoM army with some Lucid Eye, Reaper and Mantic Northstar. Based on a Post Apocalyptic force lead by an Undead King Arthur, who isn't the nice guy of Myth. But anyway. Made the rookie error of doing snow basing without any specific Historical need to do so.

So, the project stalled for a variety of reasons, including the Northstar stuff being gigantic in comparison with the Lucid Eye - who are fairly hefty themselves! Also their weird mix of weapons and armour fitted the Post Apocalyptic theme but not the Lucid Eye vibe. But anyway again.

Began rebasing but not sure exactly how I'll finish them. A barren look, probably. And I'm not sure what I'll use them for apart from Primitives in Pulp or SF?

Superb.  Maybe you could use them with the Mana Press "Tribal" rules which are a pre-Gunpowder skirmish set of rules.

Cheers!
Yeah, that's an option. I've got a pdf of the first edition but must pick up the new one.

I picked up a variety of wild beasts to use so I've got a (small) mammoth, Sabre Tooth tiger etc.

Martin, Steve Barber produces a game called "Settlement" which has now made it to a 2nd edition. As well as rules he produces figures, animals and "prehistoric" tents and other accessories. I had 1st edition many years ago and quite enjoyed them but could never find anyone interested in the genre so they eventually went on E-Bay. Worth a look.
