As Historicon 2019 theme is "Extreme terrain - Jungle", would these be a good fit for "Sharpe meets Dinos"?

Assuming the Riflemen could be classed as hunters?

And do you need the basic ruleset to work with the Fireside Tales?

Cheers,

Graham

Hey Graham,

seems interesting but you'll need the rules to use the Fireside Tales booklet.

 ;)

Hi Graham,

As Eric has already said, you need the core rules (Palaeo Diet: Eat or be Eaten) to play Fireside Tales.

There is talk about doing a 19th century dino-hunting version of the rules, although I'm not sure how far that has progressed. However, the core rules can be used for other 'hunting' genres already. See the example below.

The conversion will be done on the followings requirments :

* Delete the front horn for a homemade one (with a wood stick).

* Sculpt the fur with a soldering iron. It stinks but it's easy to do and no Green stuff needed  ;)
here is an example on my 15mm mammoth realised with the same technic

* Add a little fur from a synthetic cushion cover on the head and the back (see the dead Mammoth page
   here).
That give the rhino a better wooly look with a thick fur.

* Then paint the model and play with  lol lol

Pictures'll be provided at each step of the operation
Cheers
Eric

Looking forward to seeing the outcome.

so, there it is !

The 1st step :

Make the Rhino more wooly with a soldering iron.
The black spots are burnt plastic  ;)
On picture the work isn't really visible, even in true but by touch you can feel the fur design :P

Cheers

the fur is add (wuth the help of the hotglue gun) and the Rhino is ready to recaive a glue-Varnish layer.

the product will stiffen the fur when dry. So it'll be easy to paint/drybrush  ;)

enjoy
Eric
