I finished up three new infantrymen this past week.

They are actually to fill out a special weapon squad of snipers

Not sure what to work on next. More standard Infantry sections would probably be the SENSIBLE thing to do... but I do have some roughriders that are calling to me!

Great work dude!! I really like the whole thematic feel of the figures/colours/base. They look really coherent aesthetically.

I finished up a Special Weapon Squad armed with Plasma guns last week:

Earlier today I was assembling the roughriders and adding a few bags and bundles with green stuff to make them look like true desert travellers... Hopefully get those finished up soon-ish.

Great looking troops. I got a metric ton of the old metal Catachans, wish they were Tallarns.

Here is the first of the Tallarn roughriders I am working on.

I decided to do them in black headscarves, like I did with the Command Section, to indicate some sort of elite or veteran status - though stat-wise, they really aren't... But I figure one would really have to be some kind of bad-ass to go charging into combat in the 41st millennium on HORSEBACK!

Originally I'd envisioned converting them so they'd be festooned with kit - like WW2 Desert SAS jeeps, but on horseback. But when I actually got to working on these I realized the flowing smocks would interfere with the where I was wanting to put stuff. In the end I just added a couple small bags, rolls, or waterskins to each.
