Swaelg's Shrine of Khorne
« on: September 07, 2017, 01:26:58 AM »
Hello All,

I would like to show you my shrine of Khorne. A piece of wood serves as the core of the monument. I covered it with filler, and then I glued dried air clay flagstones. The skulls on the sides were sculpted out of the air-drying clay too. I sculpted the statue out of FIMO and added four plastic GW skulls to finish it off.

C&C are most welcome!

Skulls for the skull shrine!

Very nice. I particularly like the sculpted skulls below – they're a bit stylised and naive and all the more horrific for it.
Khorne-worshipers are probably not well advanced in artistic pursuits.

Thank you for the kind words! The skulls were inspired a little bit by Mayan art.

These look great and look more like an actual carved icon than most of the GW stuff which is too "perfect and neat" in style. Top job!
