At present the plan is to produce 16 individual pony riding Comanche warriors each with a dismounted version, followed by some early Texas Rangers. ;)

As for rules I'm going to run a taster game at BLAM with my Conquest Comanche using Legends of the Old West. Not ideal rules, but they'll do for starters. Gary was doing a mod of M&T for plains wars. Will have a chat with him at BLAM to see how it's coming along.

Just one other thing Nick, if you had to put a time period on this range what would it cover? Could you use the figures up to and including the 1860's for instance.

The figures will be aimed at the early conflicts with Mexico and Texas. So the figures will be armed with traditional weapons (bows, lances, clubs etc) and some flintlock muskets, rifles and early Colt revolvers.
Thry'll do from 1800 up until 1870s. Only the Colt revolver armed figures will make them 1840 onwards.
