more Great Figs. I dig the Home Guard also. I wonder how many other countries in Europe soldered on with the Garand into the 80s.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

The Danish Royal Lifeguards used the Garand into the mid 90'es for guard duty at the royal palaces.

@Hobbit I know that document it is most helpful. The Jutland Dragoos were/are the only standing full strength fighting force in Denmark and as such they have the most up to date equipment. And most of it.

I'm working on building a Jutland Mechanised Brigade in 6mm for CWC, so that document has proven quite useful. Also H&R have now released their M41-DK1 and Centurion-DK2  :) :) :)

Uhh I did not know H&R had put them out. I have a 6mm Danish army as well. But pictures of it are now gone thanks to Photobucket screwing over everyone.

Perhaps I should do some new photos of the small fellas.

I'm almost certain that they're not on the website yet; they had a few at the Colours 2017 wargames show in the UK last weekend. Both are very nice models well in keeping with the new sculpting standard.

Pendraken just released some lovely, 1/150th scale, M41s too.

Need them for my Bundeswehr recon unit, but they'll probably get pressed into service as "Danes" too, at least until I can afford to buy a few more to paint them up in the proper Danish camo colors.

Bornholm is going to be where the action is, for at least 12 - 24 hours.........

I painted up another Danish Home Guard and a regular army with MG3s. And two .50 cals to act as objectives or to be used as some heavy support.

And as promised I took some new pics of my 6mm Danes.

Centurions

Leopard 1. They are the wrong type for the Danish army but they will do.

M41 light tanks. Again they are not the DK1 type, but will have to do until H&R gets the online.

4x4 with TOW

4x4 with Recoilless Rifles

Command bases and Ground Radars to act as forward artillery observers.

Anti air capability. A mix of Bofors anti air guns Quad .50 cals and Hamlet/Redeye anti air missiles

M113 motorpool

Infantry

Carl Gustav anti tank

Recoilless rifles

Heavy Machineguns

Mortars

May I ask, what figures are you using for your home guard.
Love them.

Nice looking armor.  Thanks for sharing your pics of those.

IIRC, the Danes don't convert their M41 tanks to the DK1 model until 1985 - 1986, so you are pretty good to go for much of the Cold War.

     Uh oh !

''Today the replacement figure also arrived from Bill at Under Fire miniatures arrived today. Unfortunately the post had given it the same treatment as its predecessor. But I did not want to ask Bill for a replacement for the replacement.''

Am happy to provide a replacement. It'll be sent out to you on Wednesday, my next postage day. Third time lucky with more robust packaging methinks.

Excellent painting too, along with more commission ideas.

     Regards,

     Bill Weston.

Regarding the above mentioned commission ideas, whilst I am concentrating on Cold War Soviets on my current commission and 80's USAEUR on my next, 80's Danes have definitely made it onto the 'to do' list.

You do not need to send a replacement replacement. I would not want you to be more out of pocket than you already are because of the rotten Danish post. You have provided stellar customer service already.
