this project has gained some steam lately:
Added an Eagle transporter for light freight/passenger hauling around the moons of Jupiter or Saturn.

Also took an old Airfix Coastal battery and converted it into a missile base/listening post/communications relay for a dark and cold moon/asteroid.

Very nice, you can't really beat the look of the Eagle for grungy hard sci-fi.

Just finished watching season 3 of The Expanse and thought also of doing a few games. I'm thinking of ordering a few of the 3D printed ships off eBay and modelling them with landing gear and using them a terrain.

It's a shame Syfy won't be producing season 4. I hope that they change their minds or Netflix picks it up.
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass....and I'm all out of bubblegum. No wait I've just found another pack in my back pocket. Mmm tropical fruit bubblicious.

I always loved those Traveller/Striker figures.  I remember buying the Striker rule set when it came out, along with a load of figures.  Unfortunately, I could never wrap my head enough around the rules to use them.

Amazon did pick it up:

.. Heavily influenced by The Expanse and Firefly with a dash of Dark Matter...

Can't be bad... ;)

Really looking forward to further developments,  though DAMN impressive already!

One thing, those of us in the colonies seem to have had a very different experience with those Traveller models, at least, from my limited collection. It sure seems the Citadel versions were FAR better cast!

Speaking of which, I need to dig mine out.

Way to give me yet another compulsion to have to brave that pit of horror, my basement. :o

SyFy didn't produce seasons 1-3, ALCON entertainment did.

SyFy only had distribution rights for USA from memory (SPACE network had Canada).  (Netflix nabbed rebroadcast for USA as well as RoW).  They didn't renew their broadcast deal because they wanted more control over their distribution deal.

Amazon picked it up as well as a few other shows not renewed by their carriers (Lucifer and a couple of others) for their new streaming service.

Will this effect the Netflix post broadcast deal or will it remain on Amazon (ie effectively "cancelled") for on demand?

Currently in the UK it appears on Netflix in the Autumn.

No idea.
They'll probably do a deal with netflix since amazon's streaming service doesn't run here yet (netflix does, but it has maybe 10% of the US content version).

Won't know anything until next year for sure.

In Oz, Syfy were plugging the expanse as "coming in 2016" all through 2015.   2016 came and so did netflix about half way through the year.  Around August it was apparent that the local Syfy they had "plans" to air it, but they hadn't actually bothered to bid for it and Netflix gazumped them (our Foxtel is rather analogous to UK Sky, since they're both Murdoch).  I think they'd just assumed it would be part of the package they got from Syfy US.
