Thanks guys! So glad you are enjoying the videos. We plan to have a third one posted in a couple days.

Please let us know if there is some aspect of the Pulp Alley rules you'd like Dad to discuss.  ;)

Thankyou very much for making the videos, they are very helpful. I know it's time consuming but i'd love to watch a game being played.

I really enjoyed them.
I'd recommend you continue with both the mechanics and a full game.
It's going to be a great marketing tool for you.
My son initially had trouble convincing his friends to play Pulp. They watched a quick game at a local club now they all play once a week.
So a video of a full game you can point to. Would be a lot easier to relate too,for new gamers.
I'd love to see more game mechanics and rules. Shown. It's a great way to refresh your understanding of the game if you play as infrequently as i do these days.
Also what a great way to kill liberty taking with rules. Can't agree on a single interpretation of the rule,YouTube! It's the next best thing to asking Mr Phipps himself.
I know its time consuming but I think you'll find it'll pay for its self in time.

Mark.

I was talking about the videos with ManaUser, and he suggested a video on character generation would be interesting. Something like...a discussion of one or two pulp characters (The Thin Man or Professor Challenger, say) and why they're so cool, and then try to apply skills and abilities and followers that matched. I suppose it would mostly be talking heads, but perhaps a bit of gameplay to demonstrate particular abilities.

Ooh, I can think of a few things for future videos. In no particular order:

- Solo games
- Horror games
- Vehicles
- A full game, even if it's just a Leader, a Sidekick, an Ally and a Follower per side

Not sure if this is a good idea or not, and it should come well after the basic mechanics videos, but maybe a video later showing how story can be improvised from game events? About PA's storytelling element? For instance the different ways a peril could be interpreted, plot setups, or fight outcomes (the fancy dinner scenario from Vice Alley might be handy here)?

It's something fairly unique to PA, so even though it's not directly-mechanics related, it might be worth highlighting?
