Landsknecht Captain Foundry Promo??
« on: September 29, 2017, 08:29:01 PM »
Hello,

I need your help. I am looking for a miniature I have seen in the web several month ago.
I can't find a picture of it anymore.
He is a kind of Landsknecht captain, bare headed, crossed arms. Looked like sculpted by Mike Owen (?)
It could be that he was a Foundry promo miniature.

Any more information and a picture would be great.

Thanks

Why don't you email them?

I hope to get a picture of him first. That was the idea to ask this audience in advance.
Makes thing much easier for foundry. Although I am not hundred percent sure if he is from foundry.

My picture of the figure.

Alternate picture from the Von Trinkenessen's Chronicles top trump card.

That's him. Thanks!
Do you have any info if he is from Foundry?

He's from foundry , initially a giveaway with so many packs.
Also was added to a command pack at some stage.

Here's Kev's version:

same sculptor as REN011 Mercenary characters.

He is a handsome figure, no kidding.   Hope you can score one, Dr. M.  Let us know how it turns out, please.

He is a belter. I have two, one on a command stand and one with an artillery crew. Both were out at Derby earlier this month. One played the part of Fabricio Zamudio, captain of the Landsknechts at Cerignola in 1503. Here he is,

Old Glory, in the main. Possibly OGs best range and at their prices OG is ideal for kitting out big pike blocks. Same pike, wider angle, and that earthwork is going to be needed - they are facing a block of 216 (27 wide, 8 deep) Swiss!

Thanks for asking. Marcus Ansell got back to me saying they will look for the mould. Though they have not seen it for a longer time. Fingers crossed they will find it within the billions of moulds :-)

Will let you know how the story will continue.

I have got the miniature.

A few weeks ago Foundry told me that they have found the production mould and that they will be happy to put the miniature in for free with my next order.

This week my order arrived and they put in two of him and some other landsknechts in for free.

Great service and communication.
