Eureka had made some earlier models for this.
I got three from Eureka in the US. They are great models.
Not hard to put together. Many choices for what you want to
put on the cars. I intend to get some of the new ones too.

Yes, I tried to replicate all the versatility of the original cars in the new designs, and add some more. (You will note modular grills in the accessory pack) and fix some issues, the new axles are a little less elegant, a lot stronger for instance.

If you want some inspiration for converting the Golden Arrow, here is a picture I just found of a radiator module they installed to test some idea's for the Bluebird.

Thought I would share my efforts on these wonderful miniatures

More can be found on my blog here

Cheers for looking and if anyone knows of a good source of number decals about 3/4 - 1 cm high I would be very interested.   :)

Some lovely colour choices and painting.

What style numbers? WWII tank and aircraft numbering may suit your needs.

Those are dripping with whacky races flavour and I love it! You also have built and painted more of the cars than I have now.  o_o

Thanks guys.   :)

I hadn’t even thought of WW2 decals.   Cheers.  They could work a treat.

What wonderful stuff!  :-*

Just was thinking that I have more than enough minis with no need to add to the pile...

Then these beauties come along and blow that thought out of the water.  o_o

Rabbitz, those are outstanding! Although the first vehicle is elegantly gorgeous, for some reason I find those wonderfully chunky red and yellow vehicles strangely compelling and full of character, and I think I'd start with those!

I've been pulp gaming using a Victorian Sci Fi genre (re: steam), but I find myself drifting more and more into the twentieth century. I think the current is picking up.... lol

I was talking aloud to myself. A habit of the old: they choose the wisest person present to speak to; the long explanations needed by the young are wearying.

Hear hear!

Decal wise I wonder if there would be some way to find 30's racing car decals in the right sizes. Might be something to look into!

Make your own; it isn't expensive and even I managed to do without swearing (more than usual)

White is the main colour on those things though. And I hear that is a tad harder. But I suppose you could give it a black border and try to cut neatly around that. hmmm

Yes, I would imagine a white circle with block or coloured numbers inside and a black or coloured border would cover a lot of ground.

White decal paper used here..

Relatively easy as long as you follow the destructions and take your time trimming. I actually find the white works better than the clear as the colours are much bolder on the white background - the clear ones need over painting

Rabbitz, when you order, make a note for me and I can pop you in a set of decals.
I picked up lots of $1.00 sheets that inspired me at a local modelling show.
