One more minor update.
I had 3 of this Perry miniatures metal horse so I decided some diversity was in need. I added abit more mane to the horse plus a (half?) caparison

plus.... a preview of something I have been working on

What I intend to do is have groups of lords, their banner and a small contigent. I think I might do both sides of the war of the roses, for variety and possible Lion Rampant-esque scenario (although Im not exactly into wargaming). The problem is that Im a bit stuck with livery colours and heraldry. Is there any source where these are depicted in detail for each (or at least most) of the major participants? Is there some kind of major refference source? I found some text where they vaguely describe the colors and symbols, but I would like something more detailed.

May be these links are of some help...

A useful list of Wars of the Roses livery colours
https://murreyandblue.wordpress.com/2015/03/16/a-useful-list-of-wars-of-the-roses-livery-colours/

And Wikipedia! Wars of the Roses
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wars_of_the_Roses

If you hover your mouse over the coats of arms of the commanders and leaders list (right column) and click on one of them, you get it full size, then you navigate with left-right arrow to see them all.

Cheers, Dinos

Hey thanks Dino!
I ve seen the first one, but never thought the obvious wiki  ;D, Im going to check it out.
If there is anything more detailed it would be welcome. I wish there was a book with the liveries, heraldry and standards of all the great and small lords collected.

Cheers, Yannis

Glad if I helped!
So, you go to the Wikipedia right column and click on the coat-of-arms (not the name)
Example: Prince of Wales:
And you get a full pic of its heraldry!

Then, with left-right arrows, you can see all!
