Pulp Alley AAR: Lagoon of Terror
« on: October 19, 2017, 02:31:55 AM »
Finished up the AAR for our August Pulp Alley game, Lagoon of Terror.  It was a two player game, and the quality of quantity came through as the COMINTERN with gangs and backup was able to wear the other league down.

This was our first game "on the island" and we made several mistakes - underestimated the power of the terror, didn't realize the importance of the paganga goo, etc.

A great game in any case.  Two player is much different that 3+ players.  Not quite as dynamic and threatening.

Beautifully painted minis and gorgeous terrain, ingenious, vivid characters, and a very well-told story.  Just a first-rate job all around.
Loved it!

That was fantastic!! What a great way to show a game...it read just like a comic book / graphic pulp novel. Thanks for sharing.

A splendid tale of  - and beautifully presented! The Comintern in particular are a feast for the eyes - excellently painted muted colours, yet still rich enough to enliven each figure. All very well photographed and packaged into a well-told story.

I really enjoyed that!

Thank you very much for the kind comments.  I am very glad you enjoyed the report. I have one more set of pictures for the Jungle Trail scenario that we played.  I am working on that AAR now.

Wow! Always great to see your beautiful figures and terrain in action.

It is fun to see those older scenarios still being played. Great presentation.

THANKS so much for playing and sharing Pulp Alley.

The greatest challenge that we faced in that scenario was trying to position our gangs such that the sea monster would be closer than our rival gangs, so that we could shoot at it, and not at them!
