Bloody awesome thread, Capt‘n! I love how everything fits together, and looks right out of a pulp novel. Beautiful landscapes...yet everything’s playable.

What a joy it will be to play the first game!

Thanks lads  :)

Small update... Using a decorator's spraygun, I sprayed the new board with three layers of earth-coloured emulsion - each coat slightly lighter than the one before, to build up a kind of depth effect...

Next step will be colouring in the rocky areas, then onto weathering and greening, then finally painting in and varnishing the river (important to do this AFTER the application of flock and suchlike, otherwise you get bits sticking to the river surface... Also, once I've added flock, bushes, tufts etc, I will drench the whole lot in a couple of spraycoats of very thinned PVA - like 5% glue, 95% water - to fix everything in place. Obviously don't want to do that over the top of the yacht varnish on the river... )

Anyway, that is to come. For now we have...

I only just discovered this thread. As I don't often venture into the realms of fantasy.

But blimey! This is good.

This is great - fantastic terrain boards are one of the reasons I love smaller scales, there’s such a scope for sweeping terrain.

Brilliant stuff. I'm always hugely jealous of anyone who has the space and time to build gorgeous terrain boards like this.

Wow. This will make a fantastic addition to the existing board.   Can't wait to see it finished!
