Hi,

yes! The Empress minis are almost the same height, but they are slimmer and in my opinion a bit more realistically proportioned. The miniatures are also more detailled, the equipment (webbings, side arms etc.) is spelndid!

Hi LAFers,

time again to update this thread! This time with a few more GIs, having painted so many germans lately.

The BAR gunner is a conversion, basing on a .30cal gunner, whose barrel broke off. I decided to make the bigger base into a small vignette.

I'm not too happy with the pictures, they come out quite "flat" unfortunately!

Thanks for watching!

Bloody brilliant! Painting is top notch as always and the scenic base for the BAR gunner is just stunning. Keep it up!

Pffffff *blows dust away*

Well, it's been a while once again! Painting a lot of ancients last year, I was determined to paint more WW2 in 2019. I got sidetracked in the beginning of the year, delving back into LOTR, but now I'm back on track (after seeing Ash's brilliant Late War Brits).
These are of course again from the glorious Empress miniatures!

I also commissioned a few buildings with Oshiro Models, which are absolutely gorgeous.
Finally, a good friend scultped and 3 D printed a small civilian car for me.

All of this, below in a scenic shot:

I will post pictures of the different elements in front of a neutral background in the next days and hope to continue on this nice roll I'm on to finish this squad and start the next.

Cheers!

Brillant painting and a very atmospheric photo! :)

I especially like the way you painted the tan water camo - I think the look is very hard to capture and you did a splendid job!
