Thanks tin shed gamer I will check them out. I agree about the bridge- it is not ideal but I thought I would use it as I already had it.

I checked out the bridge options on Modelux and all the options are either too long, too short and/or too narrow, which is unfortunate because it is beautiful stuff. I am considering getting some rail cars for the tracks (which are still in the post  :() as my initial plan was to have a rail line instead of the canal but David suggested a canal and we figured out a way to have both.

Interested to see how that works out.

I received the modelux kit way way over engineered dozens of individual parts not a single net used on anything .everything was de framed (so lots damaged) very disappointed 😞  Recycled into a water tower so not a complete loss.

Mark.

That is very disappointing Mark :(

I have finished painting the Italeri bridge and based and flocked the Ramshackle Barn:

As usual, more pictures on my blog. :)

Excellent work.
You have certainly improved that bridge no end and done a fine job on the barn.
Lovely tufting!

I agree, although I'm not sure what lovely tufting means, it's probably a south London thing and we had probably better not enquire too closely.

It's all coming together nicely

Fine work the bridge is just right & the wooden barn type building is just so full of detail that I'm sure if I looked at it a 100 times I would notice something else : )

Nice work all around, and really like the grass with the barn, inspires me to revisit my barn to enhance the rustic overgrown look that is currently lacking.

I too have a couple of those street cars, mine are still somewhat flatter than yours.  ;)

How wide is the canal? As I'm at the York show on Sunday,So I might as well see if I can find some alternative ideas.(going a few people plus dropping off work. So I'm bound to have some dead time.)

Mark.

The canal is 14cm wide. Thank you for offering to have a sniff around; I look forward to what you discover. :)
