Watched it on a flight back home on Sunday.  Sorry, it was bad, with a capital B.

I watched it. Wasn't that bad.Probably wouldn't watch it again but is wasn't the worst movie I've ever seen by far.

It just didn't do anything for me.  It is a hard one though, a crew trapped on a ship and you know beforehand that they are all likely to die.  A bit like 'Alien' but without the suspense.  TBH none of the characters were engaging enough to be interesting, not that I suspect they were supposed to be, they were only food after all.  Unlike 'Alien' I had an inkling who (or what) was going to survive and my prediction was correct.

I liked it fine. It wasn't great, but I thought it was enjoyable and atmospheric enough. It left open a door at the end, but sadly I think I read the "monster movies" are to be no more...

They are coming out with a remake of "The Wolfman" shortly and in the middle of January a vampire movie called "Sunrise" comes out.

A large part of the suspense in a horror/monster movie is not knowing who will survive and who will die (gruesomely) at the hands of the monster.

When you know the outcome, the suspense is gone and all that's left are some jump scares.

Demeter has not really drawn me in just yet (read: I have not seen it), but I do hope they did something with maybe one or two characters surviving in the end, but not being on the ship when it runs aground, or it will lose any suspense for me...
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...
