Saw posting on TMP inquiring about WWII Nightfighters and comparisons between the Scotia, and H&R/Navwar ones.
One mentioned the H&R/Navwar ones as being nice.
Perhaps they've been corrected/improved, but the HE-219s I bought over a decade ago have horribly skewed wings. I should have shipped mine back, or asked for a refund, back in the day.
Appears to me that they: put them in the mold wrong when designing it, the mold was too soft, or they spun it too fast, since the wings are not perpendicular to the fuselages like they should be on ALL the models I received (4+ IIRC). They're off by about 10 - 15 degrees, and it is VERY noticeable, so, I would recommend inquiring with them about that issue, to see if they've been corrected, and/or buying from another manufacturer (Scotia - if they make one).
Some have mentioned MSD Games as well. As near as I can tell, the MSD Games are Scotia minis. Not sure if they just import and resell them, or if they cast them here in the USA.
Generally, I prefer Scotia for most of my aircraft, but H&R/Navwar do make some nice minis too, though in my opinion, they are more hit and miss than Scotia, which seems to be a bit more consistent in their sculpting.
Don't overlook Me-109Gs, and FW-190As for your forces, since there are a lot of reports of them flying sorties at night against the RAF bombers during 1943, and later.
Hope that helps some of you avoid disappointment.
