Mad Maximillian 1934 WIP - British Fighter Ace added 19 Jan 2018

My wife has bought me some cars from the "Mad Maximillian" range by Eureka Miniatures. Anyhow, I'm not allowed to have them until Christmas so I decided to have a go at building one myself. It's a Diecast Bugatti with scratch-built twin machineguns. I'm still deciding on a pilot but will probably end up using one of the Eureka ones.

I will add more vehicles to this thread as I go.

Very nice. You manage to always do a very fine red on your work.

Lovely work on these! I must say seeing what you end up doing with my car designs will probably be a Christmas gift for me as well.

Thanks gents. I'm looking forward to receiving the "official" models.
The Road Baron!
Spot on!    lol

With what little time I had to check your designs (before my wife hid them) I was very impressed and look forward to getting some paint down on them.

This is honestly quite bizarre... last night, as I began to doze off, I thought of the diecasts I've picked up for Max '34, including a trio of Bug's... and I was contemplating doing one up as if Von Richtofen had survived the Great War and taken to four wheels.

I come on LAF today, and find this thread...  ???
Operating from an abandoned US spy base somewhere in the Australian outback, Miniature Martin produces games and scale miniatures set in parallel worlds, past and future. He is NOT trying to take over the Earth. This time.

You know what they say about great minds......  :)

Anyhow I just completed another vehicle. This time it is Dick Dastardly's "Mean Machine".
It is a converted 1/43 Blitzen Benz from Brumm  with added rockets, light cannon and tail fin.

I haven't fitted the crew yet. They are a converted Artizan mini and a Mantic Throwing Mastiff to act as Muttley!

I will post some shots with crew fitted and based shortly.
I also have also completed my Red Baron mini for the bugatti which I will also post shortly.

Regards

Another great show!
The red is reminiscent of those Chaos Dwarfs - lovely colour.
And the crew of the Mean Machine (not to mention the car itself) are great. Good job on Muttley in particular!
