First Crusader Base!

Hi all,

I like to share with you some pictures of my first base of an ongoing basic impetus project. I was asked to paint them quite generically but also based on the "Kindom of Heaven" Movie.   Figures are from Gripping Beast. Banner & Shield designs are from LBM but the Knight of Jerusalem and Hospitaller Lance Pennants were done by hand 

I hope you like them. Any comments are very welcome

I did start giggling to myself though, for no good reason, when I looked at the guy in the middle with the shocked expression on his face and imagined him saying, "Marjorie? is that you?"

I had the impression the Hospitallers used red pennants from a very early stage, though I speak under correction.

A superb paint job indeed, though I'm not entirely sold on the figures : there's something about the sculpts that looks a bit off to me, though I can't quite put my finger on it (a certain chunkiness perhaps ?).

These are wonderfully painted. I would have thought that the Saracens were a colourful force, but you prove that crusaders can be too! I love that knight in Jerusalem heraldry.
